Open a margin account (SmartAccount)
You need a SmartAccount to hold collateral and borrow. Earn does not need one.
- Connect the wallet that will own the account.
- Open Margin (Pro mode) and use the account creation control.
- Review the terms and the liquidation acknowledgment.
- Confirm and sign, then wait for the SmartAccount address.
Two addresses
- Your wallet address starts with G.
- Your SmartAccount address starts with C.
They hold different balances. Your account is found again whenever you reconnect the same wallet, so you don't need to create another one.
Closing the account
Closing needs all debt cleared and external positions unwound. Liquidation does not close the account.
